Infrastructure investments with a private equity mindset

CapMan Infra invests to improve Nordic infrastructure

The Nordic region is an attractive, stable location for long-term investments in infrastructure. Urbanisation, changing demographics and the pressure on public finances drive an increased need for infrastructure investment by private capital. Demand for homogenous provision of infrastructure across the region puts pressure on municipalities in scarcely populated areas while other areas are facing demand for new investments due to population inflows. At the same time, increasing indebtedness and already high tax rates limit the possibilities for increasing public financing. As a result, there is a significant infrastructure investment need facing many sectors.

CapMan Infra responds to this need by offering tailored solutions to local asset owners as they face investment funding pressure or are contemplating asset portfolio restructuring. We invest mainly from our fund but may also execute mandate-based investments in companies, which are beyond the investment focus of the fund.

We invest to improve Nordic infrastructure and work together with the public sector for the benefit of the end customer. As asset managers we have a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of infrastructure that is at the centre of functioning communities. By investing, we can ensure that power plants are updated and that district heating reaches all households. For us, sustainable investment is at the core of our activities. Taking environmental, social and governance concerns into account helps to drive long-term value and enhance returns for investors, while improving society at large as well as the customers and employees in our portfolio companies.
