CapMan Buyout has built Nordic success stories since 1989.
What do Harvia, the world’s leading sauna and spa company, and Forenom, the leading serviced apartment provider in the Nordic region, have in common? CapMan Buyout’s handprint is clearly visible in both companies. Nordic roots combined with an international ambition is reflected in the growth stories of our portfolio companies beyond our holding period. Our team has built Nordic success stories for more than 30 years.
We invest in mid-sized unlisted companies in the Nordic countries. We are a generalist investor – the prospects to grow into a best-in-class company is the differentiating factor instead of industry or sector. We make majority investments of approx. €15-75 million in equity in companies with sales of €50–300 million based in the Nordic countries.
After becoming an owner, we set the strategic priorities for the next 4 – 6 years together with the company’s management.
As an active owner, we work closely with management in strategic and operational initiatives, recruit skilled board members and utilise the experience of our industrial advisors to reach the targets.
We invest in growth and help companies to implement scalable operating models and to execute roll-up acquisitions. While growing, we maintain margins through operational excellence, strengthen the management and build an institutional platform with good governance practices.
We further develop the winning culture of the company and make sure the company is well positioned for the next phase. After our holding period, a niche market leader has become a domestic champion or an international success.
Are you the next Nordic champion?
