What drives us? 

CapMan Group is a private equity fund manager with operations in the Nordic countries and Russia. Our mission is to build successful businesses contributing to the enrichment of society. We manage funds with capital raised mainly from institutional investors, and our investment partnerships invest this capital further in Nordic and Russian companies and real estate.

We aim at providing excellent returns to our fund investors through successful investment operations. We have a strong track record and believe, that we will continue to succeed in our operations by combining the strengths of our entrepreneurial investment partnerships and all capabilities within CapMan. Five entrepreneurial partnerships

We have five key investment partnerships – Buyout, Russia, Credit, Public Market and Real Estate – and each of them has a dedicated team and funds. Our equity and mezzanine funds invest in Nordic and Russian unlisted and listed companies, and our real estate funds invest in commercial and hotel properties and property development projects mainly in Finland.

The guiding principle in our investment activities is to work actively and directly towards increasing the value of investments. In our portfolio companies the value creation is first and foremost based on increasing net sales, improving profitability and creating a stronger strategic position for the companies. In real estate investments the value creation is based on developing properties according to the needs of the tenants. 

Our two other investment partnerships, Technology and Life Science, focus on developing and exiting their current portfolio companies. 

Our clients  

Approximately 80% of our managed capital is raised from Finnish and international pension funds, insurance companies and funds of funds. Other significant investors include banks and public sector institutions. CapMan itself is a significant investor in its funds.

Team of 105 professionals 

CapMan has a stable and experienced team. Altogether CapMan employs approx.105 people in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Moscow and Luxembourg.
