Compliance Officer / Legal Counsel

 

until the end of 2015 to CapMan Legal & Compliance team in Helsinki.

 

The tasks include the participation in the development and execution of CapMan’s compliance programs as well as general legal matters of the publicly listed parent company CapMan Plc. Attending to CapMan funds’ compliance is also an integral part of the role.

 

As an ideal candidate you have a university degree in legal studies and a basic knowledge of and genuine interest in private equity industry and financial markets as well as its regulatory environment. You have some relevant work experience, e.g. from a bank’s compliance function, law firm’s regulatory team or financial markets regulator. Excellent skills in English and Finnish are required. As a person, you are a dedicated team player with a drive for continuous development. You are detail-oriented and proactive and have a thorough way of working.

CapMan Business Development and Investor Relations team is looking for a

 

Communications Trainee

 

As a Trainee you will participate in the daily communications activities as a part of the Communications team. Typical assignments include management of CapMan's website and composing press releases. You will also participate in the planning and implementation of a wide range of communication projects.

 

You might still be studying Business, Finance, Communications or similar or you have just graduated. You already have some previous experience in communication or public relations, particularly in digital communications and working with a variety of system environments.

 

The person we are looking for is precise and meticulous with a self-driven approach. You will be able to work quickly and efficiently even under pressure, you are able to solve problems independently and you have a genuine interest in the private equity sector. You have a brave attitude and a desire to develop as a communications professional. Excellent communications skills and excellent oral and written Finnish and English are required. Excellent office tool skills are also a must.

 

We offer you the unique opportunity to become familiar with the Private Equity industry as part of a dynamic expert organisation in central Helsinki. The position is a full-time traineeship for a fixed term of 12 months starting as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Work may be arranged flexibly allowing the trainee to carry out some studies.

Performance Monitoring Officer

 

as a maternity leave replacement to the CapMan Back Office and Monitoring team.

 

The Performance Monitoring Officer’s tasks include fund reporting, valuations of portfolio companies, producing fundraising material, as well as other analysis and reporting of CapMan’s private equity funds and their portfolios. Participation in maintenance and development of the reporting systems and other tools are also an integral part of the role.

 

The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with a drive for continuous development; is detail orientated and has an analytical mindset, a thorough way of working and a good understanding of numbers and accounting matters. You will have 1-3 years of relevant work experience, e.g. in a controlling, accounting or back/middle office role and are an expert user of MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent skills in English and Finnish are required.
