Jorma Lehtonen has been appointed as CapMan Real Estate’s Fund Director and will be responsible for the investment activities of private equity real estate funds. In addition he will act as Deputy to Markku Hietala, Managing Director of Realprojekti Oy. Mr Lehtonen will transfer to CapMan from real estate investment company Nordisk Renting Oy, where he has acted as Managing Director since 2005. Previously he was Real Estate Director in Sampo Group.
Heidi Lepäntalo will transfer to CFO of CapMan Real Estate from her position as CapMan Plc’s Group Controller, which she has held since 2002. Prior to joining CapMan Ms Lepäntalo worked as Business Development Director at Polar Real Estate Corporation.
CapMan Real Estate, the second of CapMan’s two business areas, comprises the investment activities of CapMan’s private equity real estate funds CapMan Real Estate I and CapMan RE II and the operations of Realprojekti Oy, a consultancy company 80% owned by CapMan. Realprojekti Oy acts as advisor in matters associated with the private equity real estate funds managed by CapMan and practises real estate consulting activities. CapMan Real Estate employs 28 real estate professionals at present, and the original capital under management in private equity real estate funds totals EUR 1.1 billion. The funds have invested in 29 real estate assets and exited from 22 properties to date.
