CapMan’s Nordic Advisor Network grows with new Industrial Advisors

CapMan announces that Erik Prydz Mathisen, Terje Thon, Barbara Thoralfsen and Rune Thoralfsen from Norway and Jari Pasanen from Finland have been invited to join CapMan as Industrial Advisors as of November 2006. The new Industrial Advisors will complement the expertise of CapMan Buyout and CapMan Technology investment teams.

Erik Prydz Mathisen, M.Sc. (Econ.), MBA, is Norwegian Board professional and independent consultant. Mr Mathisen has most recently held positions within Nike Europe, including European General Manager, Country Manager in Spain/Portugal and Country Manager in Norway. Currently Mr Mathisen holds Board memberships of Odlo Norway, Crescendo AS, SportAgile AS, K. Lund AS and International Sports Management Group Ltd among others.

 

Jari Pasanen, Tech. Lic., has solid telecommunication expertise and a long track record within Nokia Corporation. Mr Pasanen has held several technology management positions at Nokia Mobile Phones business group. Currently he is the Vice President, Strategy and Technology at Nokia Multimedia business group. Before joining to Nokia Corporation, Mr Pasanen worked at the Tampere University of Technology e.g. as Research Scientist in the Signal Processing Laboratory.

 

Terje Thon, M.Sc (Eng.), has a strong track record within information technology management. Currently he acts as independent consultant and Board professional. Mr Thon’s most recent positions include among others Deputy CEO/President of Telenor ASA, CEO of Norsk Telekom AS and CEO of TBK AS. Mr. Thon holds Board memberships of Avishuset Dagbladet AS, Tandberg Data ASA and ProAct IT-group AB among others.

 

Barbara Thoralfsen, B.A. in Psychology, MBA, has a strong experience in international business management in various industry sectors, most recently as President of TeliaSonera Norway and as President of Midelfart & Co AS. Currently Mrs Thoralfsen works at Fleming Invest AS as Director and holds Board memberships of Electrolux AB, SCA AB, SATS AB (chairman) and Storebrand ASA among others.

 

Rune Thoralfsen is the Director and founder of Fleming Invest AS. Mr Thoralfsen has previously held positions at PA Consulting Group as Partner, and in Brand Management at Procter & Gamble in Germany and USA. He holds Board memberships of Fleming Invest AS (chairman), Folie Eiendom AS (chairman) and Norfolier AS (chairman) among others.

 

CapMan adopted the Advisor Network concept in the late 1990s when the first Senior Advisors were appointed. The concept was expanded in 2004 and the first Industrial Advisors were invited to the network. Advisors are business leaders with long careers and they bring new connections and in-depth sector knowledge, which complements the expertise of the company’s investment professionals. Currently the Network comprises five Senior Advisors and 15 Industrial Advisors.
