Tamore Group sells Printel Oy to LL Intressenter AB

Tamore Group, a portfolio company of the funds managed/advised by CapMan, has sold its subsidiary Printel Oy to Swedish LL Intressenter AB in a transaction that was signed and finalised today.

Printel Oy supplies school products, teaching aids and furniture for schools and kindergartens and publishes digital and printed forms, calendars and other documents for local administration and healthcare. The deal also includes the subsidiaries of Printel Oy, namely the specialist in digital printing services Otamedia Oy and provider of training and consulting services for the public sector Edufin Oy. The turnover of Printel and its subsidiaries was EUR 50.9 million in 2004.

LL Intressenter AB, which acquires Printel, is a supplier of a wide range of teaching materials and furniture to the Nordic pre-school and school-market. The company operates under the Brio Lek&Lär name in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The subsidiary Leiki&Opi Oy operates in Finland. The net sales of the Brio Lek&Lär Group totalled EUR 37 million in 2004. The largest owner of LL Intressenter AB is Procuritas Capital Investors Fund III advised by the Swedish private equity house Procuritas Partner KB.

CapMan funds Finnventure Fund IV and Finnventure Fund V and Fenno Fund managed/advised by both CapMan and Fenno Management Oy hold the majority stake in Tamore Group. The funds made investments in the company in 1998–2000. The business operations of Tamore Oy, which belongs to Tamore Group, will continue unchanged after the transaction. Tamore Oy is the market leader in IT and office supplies in Finland.

The sale of Tamore Group’s subsidiary Printel does not impact on CapMan’s result for 2005.
