Nominations in CapMan Plc Group

As of 1 October 2005, Mr Petri Niemi has been appointed as Senior Partner, Mr Jerome Bouix and Mr Vesa Walldén have been appointed as Partners, Mr Hans Tindlund has been appointed as Investment Director and Mr Niklas Östborn has been appointed as Investment Manager. Senior Partner Peter Buch Lund will transfer to Senior Advisor as of 1 January 2006.  

Petri Niemi, M.Sc. (Eng.), 44, is the Head of CapMan Technology. Niemi joined CapMan in spring 1999 and he has played a central role in CapMan funds’ investment in Setec among others. Prior to joining CapMan, Niemi worked with Oy L M Ericsson, 3Com Nordic Ab and Sun Microsystems Oy. Niemi has more than 15 years experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors.

 

Jerome Bouix, M.Sc. (Econ.), 34, heads CapMan funds’ fundraising and CapMan Plc’s investor relations and communications. Bouix joined CapMan in 2000 and he was actively involved in the expansion of CapMan’s operations to Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Prior to CapMan Bouix worked in the financing team of Finland’s Ministry of Trade and Industry.

 

Vesa Walldén, 44, joined CapMan in 2002 and he has lead investments by CapMan funds in Distocraft Oy, Solid Information Technology Corp. and Flander Ltd among others. Before CapMan Walldén worked at Tahoe Networks, where he was responsible for business development in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to that Walldén has worked for Nokia New Ventures, Nokia Mobile Phones and Sun Microsystem Inc. Walldén has close to twenty years experience in global high technology companies.

 

Hans Tindlund, M.Sc. (Eng.), MBA, 34, joined CapMan in 2004. He has played a important role in the establishment of the CapMan operations in Norway and the investments by CapMan funds in Cardinal Foods AS and InfoCare ASA. Prior to CapMan, Tindlund worked with corporate finance and strategy with McKinsey & Company and the investment bank H&Q Norden.

 

Niklas Östborn, M.Sc. (Econ.), 29, joined CapMan in 2004 and he has played a active role in CapMan funds’ investment in Inflight Service AB. Prior to CapMan Östborn worked with European mezzanine investments at the investment bank Lehman Brothers.  

 

Senior Partner Peter Buch Lund, Lic. Tech., 59, will become a Senior Advisor of CapMan as of 1 January 2006. At present Buch Lund is a member of CapMan’s Technology team. He joined CapMan in 1993 and has overseen investments by CapMan funds in Mercuri International, Nordic Aluminium, PIC/Sweco and Rocla  among others. Prior to CapMan Buch Lund held senior positions at Cultor Oyj, Outokumpu Oyj and Grafica Oy.
