The share transactions were carried out on the Helsinki Stock Exchange today 2 March 2004. Following the sales, the Senior Partners and other employees of CapMan Plc hold 56.3 per cent of shares and 77.7 per cent of voting rights.
The share capital of CapMan Plc is EUR 746,816.30, and it comprises a total of 8,000,000 A shares and 66,681,630 B shares. The nominal share value is EUR 0.01. Each A share entitles its holder to ten (10) votes and each B share entitles its holder to one (1) vote.
The decrease in the employees’ shareholding to approx. 50 per cent, from approx. 70 per cent prior to the sale, will be implemented during the next few years. Senior Partner Ari Tolppanen, CEO of CapMan Plc, comments on the timing of the first stage of the share sale as follows: ”First and foremost the aim is to improve the B shares’s liquidity, as it has been quite low for a company on the Main List. We feel, that the timing for the reduction of our ownership is right from stock market point of view, since if exit markets pick up in line with our expectations, CapMan’s profit outlook will also improve. In addition the CapMan B share has been the subject of increasing demand from buyers, especially in recent months.”
