CapMan and Sonera became part of international investment syndicate
European private equity investors invested EUR 14 million in Dutch ASP Siennax

The private equity investor CapMan and Sonera Juxto International (Sonera’s business development unit, which concentrates on ASP (Application Service Provider) business activities) have reached an agreement on co-investment in Siennax International B.V. In addition to the Finnish investors, this second round of funding included German BHF Bank, Dutch ABN AMRO Participaties and Residentie Investments and the original owners Prime Technology Ventures, Het Goede Paard and Siennax’s staff. The new funds will enable Siennax to continue to build its successful one-to-many application delivery architecture and business applications portfolio.

Siennax was established in 1998 and is one of the leading European ASP (Application Service Provider) companies. The applications needed in the ASP service is leased for a fixed term and extent to the employees of a company. Siennax offers multiple, shared both standard and customised applications via one URL in the Internet. Siennax’s ASP is serving 15 000 users and has quickly expanded from the domestic markets in Holland to Germany.

The Siennax portfolio encompasses standard applications like: secure e-mail, Intranet, Extranet, e-commerce, e-Learning, e-CRM, Knowledge management and document management applications. Based on the web, these are accessible to clients over the Internet and via Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) devices. Siennax has partnerships with Microsoft, IBM Lotus, Sun-Netscape and Oracle.
