CEO's greetings...

The first half of 2007 was brisk both in the fundraising and in the investment activities front. Our assets under management grew by 18 per cent and we made over 20 new investments. Past months have also stirred up a lot of discussion over the instability in the financial markets. Read more...

Latest investments in portfolio companies...

Since April CapMan funds have made six new investments in an interesting selection of Nordic industries. The latest targets are Telemark Røntgen Group in Norway, Nacka Närsjukshus Proxima and KMW Energi in Sweden, IT2 Treasury Solutions in Denmark and Movial Applications and Mawell in Finland. Latest exits...

Since late April CapMan funds have announced four exits from the technology portfolio: Avitec, Secgo Software, Hantro Products and Medianorth. Two of the companies were acquired by larger listed peers. In addition the funds announced an exit from the Finnish buyout target Copterline. Read more…

Latest real estate investments...

CapMan's real estate funds' latest investments are made in Malminkaari 9, Lönnrotinkatu 20, Ludviginkatu 3-5, Elimäenkatu 9 and Hankasuontie 3 in Helsinki, Entresse shopping centre in Espoo, Mastola logistics centre in Vantaa, Skanssi shopping centre in Turku and Ylistönmäentie 33 in Jyväskylä.

CapMan strengthened its Management Group and organisation

CapMan reorganised to meet growth challenges in an international company as two new teams were established and the Group's Management Group was strenghtened in late September. Read more...

Nominations and new faces at CapMan…

Business leaders Jukka Härmälä, Peter Augustsson and Björn Norrbom joined CapMan's Nordic Advisor Network. Kaisa Arovaara was nominated as CFO, Jerome Bouix as Senior Partner, Lars Hagelstam, Torben von Lowzow and Hans Tindlund as Partners and Espen Stenumgård as Investment Director. Read more…

Events and fundraising update…

CapMan’s yearly events CapMan Limited Partners Day and CapMan Lunch Event in Oslo were held in the early summer. Senior Partner Ari Tolppanen was awarded for his contribution to the research and teaching of entrepreneurship and private equity in Finland. On the fundraising front the CapMan Life Science IV held its final closing in May. The fundraising for CapMan Technology 2007 is on the homestretch.
