Nominations at CapMan

Jerome Bouix, M.Sc. (Econ.), 34, was nominated as Partner in October and as Member of the Management Group in November. Jerome is responsible for CapMan funds' fundraising and CapMan Plc's investor relations and communications. He joined CapMan in 2000 and was actively involved in the expansion of CapMan’s operations to Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Petri Niemi, M.Sc. (Eng.), 44, was nominated Senior Partner in October. He is the Head of CapMan Technology. Pete joined CapMan in spring 1999 and he has played a central role in the investment in Setec among others. Pete has more than 15 years experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors.

Maija Nykänen, M.Sc. (Econ.), 27, was nominated Fundraising Manager in January. Maija joined CapMan in 2001 and she concentrates on fundraising activities, with a special responsibility on fundraising materials, due diligence services and market research.

Reetta Peltonen, BBA, 29, was nominated Information Officer in January. Reetta joined CapMan in 2002 and she is currently responsible for business communications.

Hans Tindlund, M.Sc. (Eng.), MBA, 34, was nominated Investment Director in October. He joined CapMan in 2004. Hans has played an important role in the establishment of the CapMan's operations in Norway and in the investments in Cardinal Foods AS and InfoCare ASA.

Ulla Toivola, M.Sc. (Econ.), 24, was nominated as Analyst to the Fundraising team. She joined CapMan in January 2005 as Analyst Trainee.

Niklas Östborn, M.Sc. (Econ.), 29, was nominated Investment Manager in October. Niklas joined CapMan in 2004 and he has played an active role in CapMan funds’ investment in Inflight Service AB.

Vesa Walldén, 44, was nominated Partner in October. Vesa joined CapMan in 2002 and he has led investments in Distocraft Oy, Solid Information Technology Corp. and Flander Ltd among others. Vesa has close to twenty years experience in global high technology companies.

New faces and new responsibilities

Kaisa Arovaara, M.Sc. (Econ.), Authorised Public Accountant, 35, has joined CapMan as a Deputy CFO as of 9 January 2006. She transferred to CapMan from  Ernst & Young, where she has worked since 1995. 

Senior Partner Peter Buch Lund, Lic. Tech., became a Senior Advisor of CapMan as of 1 January 2006. At present Peter is a member of CapMan’s Technology team. He joined CapMan in 1993 and has overseen investments in Mercuri International, Nordic Aluminium, PIC/Sweco and Rocla among others. 

Investment Director Lars Hagelstam, M.Sc. (Econ.), continues CapMan's expat tradition. In early October he transferred from Helsinki to Copenhagen, where he will stay for approximately one year.

Terhi Heinilä, M.Sc. (Econ.), 26, will join the Real Estate team in the beginning of February as Commercial Consultant and her main responsibility will be marketing of Sello shopping centre. She has previously worked as Managing Director of Nova shopping centre.

Lea Jokinen
, Grad. Of Comm. Coll., 43, has joined Realprojekti as Director, Real Estate and her main responsibility will be to manage and develop the portfolio of CapMan Real Estate I fund. She has previously worked at Sponda Plc as Senior Vice President, Logistics Properties.


Kirsi Keskitalo, 44, started in Realprojekti as Shopping Centre Consultant in January. Kirsi’s main responsibility is to manage and administrate Shopping Centre Pasaati. Before joining Realprojekti she worked as Marketing Manager for shopping centre Iso Kristiina in Lappeenranta.

Jari Kuronen, Grad. Of Comm. Coll. & Tech., 39, joined the Real Estate team from the beginning of January. His main responsibilities are managing the properties in Helsinki centre and rental operations of office permises. He has previously worked as Managing Director of Stella Business Park.

Investment Director Johanna Lindroos, M.Sc. (Econ.), CEFA, returned to the tech team in August from her 18-month secondment at portfolio company Sentera. 

Andrei Novitsky, LL.M., 32, joined CapMan already in May 2005 as an outsourced second Legal Counsel. Andrei has now agreed to stay at CapMan. He has previously worked at Hedman Osborne Clarke Alliance.

Marianne Saviranta, Grad. of Comm. Coll., 40, joined CapMan as a Fund Administrator in August. She is responsible for the administration of CapMan Real Estate I Ky fund. Marianne has previously worked in development of business operations at eQ Pankki, as Head of the Accounting team at Conventum and Chief Accountant at Sanitec Ltd Oy.

Espen Stenumgård, M.Sc. (Econ.), 34, joined CapMan as Invesment Manager to Buyout team in the beginning of January. He has previously worked as Director Corporate Development in the broadband telecom company Catch Communications.

Pirjo Vesinen, 53, joined the Real Estate team from the beginning of January. Her responsibilities include commercial consulting and rental operations. She has previously worked as Marketing Manager at Columbus shopping centre.
