Heikki Westerlund

Heikki Westerlund joined CapMan in 1994 and is the CEO of CapMan Plc. Prior to his nomination as CEO, Heikki first successfully built CapMan’s technology operations and was responsible for investments in the IT and telecommunications sectors, and later he was Head of CapMan Buyout for nearly three years. Heikki has been a significant contributor to the success of several of CapMan's investments including Nexor Superstore, AtBusiness Communications, Medianorth Group, Satama Interactive and Aldata Solution, in which he was Chairman during 1997-2000.

Heikki has a strong entrepreneurial background and has specialised in venture capital transactions since the early 1990s. Prior to joining CapMan, Heikki worked as Project Manager for Sitra in private equity and research and as the Secretary General for the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA).
