Ari Tolppanen

Ari Tolppanen joined CapMan in 1989. He served as Managing Director of CapMan Capital Management Oy from inception in 1989 until 2001, and acted as CEO of CapMan Plc between 2001 and 31 March 2005. Currently Ari is a member of CapMan’s Buyout team and the Chairman of the Board of CapMan Plc.

Ari has wide business experience, ranging from consumer-related international services to the manufacture and export of investment goods. He has led several mergers, acquisitions and divestment transactions and served as Chairman and board member for several Finnish and international corporations. In addition, Ari is active within the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), of which he was Chairman during 2000-2001.

Prior to CapMan, Ari held a series of positions at Huurre Oy, culminating as President. Before that, he was President and Partner of Oy Nordfilm Ab.
