CapMan – alternative asset manager in the Nordic region and Russia
CapMan manages third party private equity funds with approximately €3.5 billion in total capital. The Company is also a significant investor in the funds managed by the Group. CapMan has six investment areas, and each of them has a dedicated team and funds. The equity and mezzanine funds managed by the Group invest in portfolio companies and the real estate funds invest in commercial properties, real estate development targets and hotel properties.
Approx. 80 per cent of the capital under management by the Group is raised from Finnish and international pension funds, insurance companies and funds of funds. Other significant investors, in addition to CapMan Plc, are banks and public sector institutions, among others. The guiding principle for investment activities of the funds is to work actively and directly towards increasing the value of investments.
Altogether CapMan employs approx.150 people in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Moscow. CapMan was established in 1989 and its B shares are listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange since 2001.
